Are you a detail-oriented baker or cook ready to add energy to our creative, hard-working kitchen team? Edgewater Farm Kitchen is looking for a few good people to work with us!
Connected to our farm stand, is our commercial kitchen where we make grab and go meals, salads, soups, sauces and many other treats, and some CSA specialty items. The kitchen is also in charge of processing berries for freezing. As much as possible, we source ingredients from the farm to be sold on farm.
The ideal candidates for this job:
Have Knowledge of, or interest in learning about food safety & commercial kitchen organization
A positive attitude with problem-solving & good communication skills
A passion for transforming our own produce into creative & delicious products to sell in our farmstand
Perform tasks to promote kitchen organization & cleanliness
Assist the Baker in displaying, packaging & preparation of baked goods
Assist Prep Cooks in packaging & preparation of baked goods
The ability to be on your feet for 6-8 hour shifts
The ability to lift 30-50 pounds
Are able to work 3-5 days/week, including 1 weekend day
Are available June 1 through mid-October *shorter or longer season can be arranged
Compensation dependent on experience & quality of work, plus a generous share of vegetables to take home!
