FARMSTAND MANAGER EXPECTATIONS WISH LIST

- DATES: Seasonal job June-October with possibility to pick up farm work outside the farmstand season (November-May)

  • Responsible for daily farmstand oversight and supervision

  • Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and managing farmstaff staff

  • Well organized with strong communication skills

  • Able to work with a team AND independently

  • Promote and keep a clean and safe working environment that meets Health inspector standards in the following areas: farmstand floor/ office/ display coolers/ bathrooms/ walk in coolers

  • Monitor inventory daily to insure freshness

  • Create displays/ signage

  • Excellent customer service skills/ problem solving

  • Strong communication with field managers in regards to: inventory/ pricing /sales/ picklist, etc..

  • Ordering and pricing across the board from field crops to vendor buy ins

  • Flexibility on daily routines

  • Daily communication with kitchen/ plant barn

  • Management of physical cash, point of sales, and shop keep

  • Management of special orders throughout the season

  • Answer phone and return voicemail/email daily

  • Manage vendors/daily weekly ordering 

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: This is an hourly position, with an average work week of 30-40 hours, in season. Compensation is commensurate with experience and time commitment.
